Portraits

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]More than one blog update in a month? You betcha! It’s cold outside, and I’m riding the local public transportation a bit more these days, leading to more portraits, a few of which I’m sharing here.

Looking at faces, I see the asymmetries. We’re born asymmetric, and grow more so over our natural lives. A nose veers off center. One eye is more open, or rests a little higher. A mouth cocked askew. It’s the human quality, the poetry and naturalness of a life lived honestly, and why I prefer a hand drawn circle over one shaped by a compass. I do not believe in perfection. I believe in study and a dedicated effort to communicate.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_masonry_media_grid grid_id=”vc_gid:1481876645350-8f51bd47-1496-2″ include=”1357,1356,1350,1351,1352,1348,1353,1355,1349,1354″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
